Cricket, the Artistic Director and Sole Proprietor of Cricketsing, experienced a life-altering, near-death experience in 1987 when she had a head-on collision with a truck while riding her bicycle. Ten years of chronic pain ensued during which time she explored many different alternative therapies. Having a degree in Biology and an interest in Physiology and Anatomy, she considered her body and its constant pain from every angle. She practiced Zen meditation and immersed herself in yoga practice. She explored diet and nutrition, as well as spiritual and energetic healing. It was during this time of exploration that she picked up a guitar, taught herself a few chords and started to create songs.

Cricket's roots in the oral tradition are deep. She loves to interact with people and knows that it is in sharing our stories and songs that we find connection and healing within our tribes. Cricket also knows that we are each born with amazing innate and unique creative intelligence and that we owe it to ourselves and all those beings who inhabit the world around us to explore and develop this.

Cricketsing is a personal story and testimony to the healing powers of music, movement, yoga and meditation. Cricketsing presents STIR IT UP a unique program which intends to impart knowledge of how to establish and cultivate a strong creative center and that represents a synthesis of Cricket's eclectic life experience and training. As educator, artist, activist, yogini, music channel, dancer, poet, story weaver, and designer she is excited to interact with your group and hopes to inspire you through the telling of her story.
